In comfortable chairs around a coffee table, above the din of Latin jazz, our new friend was taking a turn reading aloud from Augustine’s Confessions.
“Our hearts are restless until we find our rest in Thee.” And then, in mid-paragraph, he stopped and whispered, “This was sixteen hundred years ago. But this is my life.”
Someone else said, “I think it’s the journey we’re all on. Welcome.”
